Welcome to my first post

One blog among millions.
Also one person among, well, billions.
Is there a point then for yet another Blog ?
The point would only be the warranty that it will be unique, that's a given, but also a unique an interesting expression of a shared experience of life, culture and technology.
The Blog will be centered, but not limited to, science and technology, tools within my reach giving me insight into "life the universe and everything", as Doug Adams would put it.
OK, all this might sound a bit pretentious, but a Blog is also by definition a way to put yourself forward and in sight, and will take a fair amount of work, so why not be a be a bit ambitious?
Does technology, and more recently, digital technology affect your life?
It certainly affects mine: I spend around ten hours a day in front of ( several) screens, interconnected with millions of other, computers, people, blogs etc...
This is unprecedented in human story.
I believe that there's a shift going on, that, not unlike the interconnecting neurons in our brain, new properties emerge from systems with a great number of parts, that are integrated tightly, exchanging information.
Like bees in a hive, cells on a body or neurons in a brain, we have only a tenuous idea of the organism as a whole.
This blog aims to do that, to be a peeping hole trough which we the parts get to see some parts of that new, emergent organism that is being created by us, Humans and Machines.
